We want this to be a fun, welcoming, and trusted place to trade pins. These rules aren't here to make trading complicated. They're here so everyone arrives with the same expectations and can focus on what we're actually here to do: trade some pins!
By creating an account and participating in the party, you agree to follow these House Rules.
This platform brings collectors together to trade directly with one another. We provide the virtual trading space, communication tools, and records that help make those trades possible.
We never take possession of your pins, hold money on your behalf, or take a percentage of your trades. Trades are agreements made directly between individual collectors.
Everyone participating on the trading floor has also gone through our approval process, either through a referral from an existing member or through an application reviewed by our team.
And once you're here, everyone plays by the same House Rules.
Ship within 48 hours. Once both traders confirm a trade, both parties have 48 hours to ship. Upload a photo of your shipping label or enter your tracking number through the platform to mark your package as shipped.
The 48-hour shipping expectation is important to our community. Please do not finalize a trade unless you are prepared to ship within that timeframe.
We understand that circumstances outside of your control can happen. If they do, communicate with your trading partner through the trade conversation before your shipping deadline so there is a record of the communication.
Repeated missed shipping deadlines, failure to communicate, or failure to complete confirmed trades will affect your ability to participate in future events.
If the deadline passes with nothing shipped and no word: the trade is marked shipping overdue, you get an automatic reminder, and your trading partner may cancel the trade. A trade cancelled because you did not ship counts as a strike on your account. Strikes are seen by the hosts only, never by other members. A first strike is a warning and a reminder of this policy. A second means sitting out the next party. A third pauses your account while Courtney reviews it, and she decides whether you return. A strike can be set aside when there is a documented reason.
Show the pin. Before a trade is confirmed, either trader may request additional photos of the exact pin being offered. If requested, you agree to provide clear photos of both the front and back of the actual pin through the trade conversation.
The platform does not grade or authenticate pins. These photos give your trading partner the opportunity to inspect the pin and make their own decision before agreeing to the trade.
Say what it is. A fantasy pin is called a fantasy pin. A flaw, a repair, or any damage must be disclosed before a trade is finalized.
Confirm what you receive. When your trade arrives, you agree to honestly confirm whether the pin you received matches the pin and condition represented during the trade. If something doesn't match, use the platform's resolution process and provide clear photos of what you received.
Disagreements happen. Honest communication and documentation give everyone the best opportunity to resolve them fairly.
Real photos only. Photos uploaded to the trading floor must be photographs you took of the actual pins in your possession. AI-generated or AI-altered images may not be used to represent a pin being offered for trade or sale. Stock images, manufacturer images, or another collector's photographs should not be presented as photographs of the pin you possess.
What another collector sees should be what you actually have available to trade.
Respect other members' photos. Photos uploaded by another member remain theirs. Do not download, repost, reproduce, sell, or use another member's trading-book photos or close-up images without their permission.
Just as we expect members to respect one another's collections, we expect them to respect one another's content.
Your invitation means something. Our community grows through trust. If you join through another member's invitation, that member is helping introduce you to our trading community. If you don't know an existing member, you can apply directly, and we'll review your application before approving you.
Once you're able to invite others, please be thoughtful about who you bring into the community. An invitation is your way of saying, "This is someone I would feel comfortable trading with."
Our goal isn't to create an exclusive club. It's to build a trusted trading community where collectors can meet new people, discover amazing pins, and feel comfortable making a trade.
If something arrives that does not match what was shown and agreed to, we have a process in place to help resolve it.
The platform does not authenticate, certify, or guarantee the authenticity of pins, and I do not make determinations about whether a pin is authentic.
Our process is designed to document what was represented and agreed to during a trade. The trade record preserves the photos, disclosures, agreement, shipping information, and information provided after delivery so there is a clear record of the transaction.
That's why taking a close look and asking questions before confirming a trade matters.
Photos you send in a message, and the close-ups, label photos and arrival photos a trade keeps, live at addresses nobody can guess. They are not public. But anyone with the exact link can open one, and the link does not check who is asking. Treat a chat photo the way you would treat a photo you texted to a friend. Book pages work the same way.
The party sells two things: a ticket to walk the hall and message booths, and a booth for a vendor. Both are paid by card through Stripe, to me.
Tickets. If you cannot come, tell me at least two hours before the doors open and I will refund your ticket. After that, no refund; the party has started. A ticket is for the account that bought it and cannot be passed to someone else.
Booths. If you have to drop out, tell me at least twelve hours before the doors open and I will refund your booth, so the table can go to another vendor. After that, no refund; the hall is set. Early bird booths are refunded the same way, at the price you paid.
Refunds go back to the card you paid with, from my Stripe account, by me. The site never moves money.
That ticket and that booth are all the money there is between you and me. Trades are between two people, and whatever you work out between you is yours. There is no escrow, no cut of your trade, and no fee for trading. I never hold your pins.
Vendors who sell at the party sell on their own terms, get paid their own way, and handle their own sales and income taxes. The party is where you meet; the sale is yours.
If you offer international shipping, say so on your booth, and the 48-hour promise still applies.
Be the person you would want across the table. Ask before you assume. Answer on your own clock; nobody is standing over you. If somebody makes the party feel like the loud hall you came here to get away from, email me at sopeachypins@gmail.com and I will look. The site can pause an account while I do.
The party is run by So Peachy Pins. Questions: sopeachypins@gmail.com.
